So maybe the part about Sully (he also goes by “Jon Sullivan”) being born with a guitar in his hand is urban myth, but like all good stories, it makes for a good story. Sully literally grew up hanging around guitar shops, watching others work on guitars and doing some tinkering himself. In his teenage years, he did some refinishing work for a friend, honed his modding & building skills, and later progressed to building parts-guitars.  In the early 2000’s he started doing complete builds - from scratch. He filmed his guitar-making projects, built a YouTube channel and a bit of a following, and in the mid-2010’s was able to move to making guitars full-time. Although technically Sully Guitars has been around since Sully’s pre-teen years when he scribbled the company name on the first electric guitar he owned, over the years he has carefully developed the Sully Guitars brand by focusing on guitar players and creating instruments with innovative shapes and styles that those musicians love to play - with or without sparkles!
